Alone Together

Again we are alone together,
lost on silent seas.
The boat sways with
broken cacophony.

I look upon my Other Self,
mirrored
within the white
watercolored canvas.

We stare, we speak,
our words are silent,
hearts drowned in
their timeless duty.

Again we whisper
wind-whipped lullabies.
Our fingertips break the
watersilk ribbons.

Again we touch
the vibrant air,
spirit-fingers meeting, mingling,
melding into one.

Again I stare, and my eyes
are infested
with your dreams.
I watch the ribbons
dangle, submerge, and wash clean.
