A-Dream [08-09-01]

Don't wake just yet.
My eyes are heavy;
slumber seeps
around the corners.
Darkness cracks
behind the slitted,
blur-infested vision.

Sometimes when I
watch you sleeping,
I can smile
for a moment,
kiss the tender
flesh, relenting
to a soft embrace
of petals
and a honey-taste
that lingers
in my mind.

Hold me captive
for a moment,
dream of rapture
intermingled
with the taste
of wine and honey
dancing wet
upon those lips.

For a moment,
I envelop
my own flesh
in honeysickle,
dreaming softly,
dying slowly,
waiting for the
waves to break
again.
